Our Ethics
We don’t operate by a strict set of rules. But the evolution of our culture has reflected the basic principles that are summarised here.
We will always uphold the highest standards of integrity, honesty, openness and professionalism. Serco is committed to truth and fair dealing, independence, competence and accountability in order to deliver quality, value for money service to customers.
We will always comply with local laws and statutory requirements. Every Serco employee will exercise all reasonable professional skill and care in their work and recognise the rights and sensitivities of other individuals, both within the company and outside. Corrupt practices will not be countenanced and all commercial transactions will be properly and accurately recorded.
We respect the rights of the individual as well as the traditions and culture of communities and protect the environment within which we operate.
We make every effort to protect Serco’s property and its business activities. Equally due care and attention is always exercised to ensure that customers’ property is used properly.
We expect employees to report any infringement by others and will not take direct or indirect action against them for doing so.
