Quality Management
We work in a wide range of fields where the quality of our work is crucially important: defence, space, science and nuclear, for example. We also work in an increasing number of areas where the quality of our service is highly visible to the public and judged accordingly: schools, hospitals and transport, for example.
Around the world people are experiencing a quality of service that makes a difference to their lives. Expectations are met and often surpassed because Serco enable those delivering the service to give their best.
Adding value to people's lives, perhaps helping to change them, is often due to the value which Serco adds to a service.
So we maintain the strongest possible commitment to quality - not least because our strong organic growth is sustained by our ability to extend the duration and scope of our existing contracts. If we want to keep growing, we need to meet the most demanding standards set by our clients.
We have substantial experience of well-proven Quality Management Systems. And since the arrival of ISO 9000 standards and the increasing desire of many of our clients to implement formal quality procedures, we've acquired certification at a large number of sites covering a wide range of activities.
