In the mountainous surrounds of Hong Kong, road tunnels provide vital commuter links. Each day, more than 90,000 vehicles can pass through the Serco-operated Lion Rock Tunnel
In such a busy system, the safe, smooth-running of the tunnel is down to co-operation and trust

Serco

We improve services by managing people, processes, technology and assets more effectively.

Charities and Fundraising

Serco aims to reinvest 1% of its pre-tax profits back into the community as reported in our Corporate Responsibility reports.  This is done through a variety of ways such as cash donations and time.  Each division reports their community investment quarterly to the Corporate Assurance Group as part of the quarterly reporting function.

Our community investment is aligned with the way we manage our devolved and decentralised business.  The Serco Foundation provides some central funding to support our businesses and people to undertake activities in their local communities as well as support major organisations such as The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.  The majority of our fundraising and local support (money and time) is given by our divisions and businesses at a local level aligned to local employee and community needs.  From time-to-time Serco will undertake a global fundraising campaign generally in response to a disaster.

By adopting this approach, Serco manages to support hundreds of charities and community projects around the world each year touching many people's lives.
