In the mountainous surrounds of Hong Kong, road tunnels provide vital commuter links. Each day, more than 90,000 vehicles can pass through the Serco-operated Lion Rock Tunnel
In such a busy system, the safe, smooth-running of the tunnel is down to co-operation and trust

Raising Money And Awareness

Merseyrail is a 75 mile urban rail network that is of vital importance to the transport infrastructure of Liverpool and Merseyrail.  This service impacts upon a number of communities.  One of these communities in the Wirral includes Clatterbridge Hospital which in 1974 established the Clatterbridge Cancer Research Trust to raise funds for both research and treatment working closely with the second largest cancer centre in the UK, Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology, who deal with over 7,000 patients a year.

One of our Train Crews at Merseyrail, the Birkenhead Crew have shown real commitment and raised over £43,000 for this charity through collections and sponsored walks.  All five members of the team worked hard to raise the money giving a lot of their time to collect money at various venues.  They are all a credit to Merseyrail for their dedication and hard work in raising money and making their colleagues and members of the public more aware of the Clatterbridge Cancer Campaign.
