Regione Lombardia

The “Giunta Regionale della Lombardia”, the Italian public administration responsible for the local government of the regional territory (including public health, education, environment, transportation, industrial development, etc.) based in Milan, awarded a contract to Serco for the provision of:

  • Outsourced Services for Information Technology infrastructure including Helpdesk, Domain design & Administration and Technical Support to end-users
  • Supply and Technological Upgrading of all Desktop Computers, Notebooks, Servers, (including software), Printers, and Scanners

The contract is for 6 years and initially includes the support to a minimum of 3,000 users’ workstations and related services, with scope to increase in both user numbers and services provided. A contract Support Office was established in Milan to facilitate our North Italian business, complementing our Support Office in Rome.

The Phase-In Team was in place from the beginning of 2002 for 3 months and played a vital role in the implementation and integration of our solution. Utilising our experience gained from our pan-European operations, our Phase-In Team developed the basis of our relationships with the Regione Lombardia a partnership approach and the long-term success of the methodology and systems put in place.
