The Service Level Agreement driven contract was awarded to Serco in 1998, whilst Serco managed the original task based contract for ESA from 1980 to 1998.

IT Support Services to the EC

Serco provides service based activities covering PC Support, monitoring the Network, Server Management, Helpdesk and Inventory operations. These are delivered against a Service Level Agreement (SLA).

DG REGIO re-awarded Serco the contract against strong competition based upon our proven track record in service delivery and our proposed approach to the new service.

A full range of computer services is provided, which includes the following: server administration, monitor the network, first level (Help desk) support, second level support, development and testing of standardised PC configurations, planning and preparation of both hardware and software migrations, resolution of technical problems encountered by users, applications support, management of physical inventory of equipment, and consultancy to clients.

The DG REGIO contract operates in accordance with the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000 under the umbrella certification of Serco Belgium S.A. Our activities in Belgium were originally certified to ISO 9001:1994 in November 2000, the certification was then up-graded in February 2003 to ISO 9001:2000.

Within Belgium we apply the ISO procedures in a rigorous manner and are audited internally and externally twice a year. This ensures that our procedures remain up-to-date at all times and that we are continually looking to improve the way we deliver our customer focused services.
