Facilities Management
The public sector has followed the private sector in contracting the management of physical facilities such as office buildings to specialist contractors. In some cases, this is simply a matter of service contracting, but in a growing number of jurisdictions around the world, the advent of public-private partnerships (PPPs), or in the UK, the 'Private Finance Initiative', has resulted in a significant expansion of facilities management by private firms.
