Leisure
The outsourcing of local authority leisure services goes back to the days of compulsory competitive tendering (CCT). In the past, leisure outsourcing commonly included facilities management and related services such as cleaning and catering. In recent years the private sector has also been involved in the provision and renewal of leisure infrastructure under the PFI. Leisure covers a range of services from sports to library facilities.
