Long-Run Costs and Performance Effects of Competitive Sourcing Centre for Naval Analysis, 2001 CNA set out to assess long-term costs associated with some 50 outsourcing decisions but was unable to find the data it needed. However, it found that work which is contracted out is generating ongoing savings of more than 30 per cent, a finding consistent with those of GAO and others.
