Denmark

The Danish administration is a proponent of the spread of best practice and sharing of experiences in public sector competition and procurement in Europe. The Danish Competition Authority helped drive the establishment up of the Public Procurement Network (PPN), which brings together and encourages cooperation and knowledge transfer between the EU member states, and a number of other countries, including Switzerland.

The public private partnership model of contracting is a relatively new concept in Denmark. But it has developed quickly. In 2004, the Danish government launched a National Action Plan, which includes certain measures to assist the development of PPP projects.
