Corruption

Because competition and contracting involves a major exercise of discretion by a public authority and because this is associated with a transfer of resources between the public and private sectors, there is potential for the public interest to be compromised through corrupt or improper practices.

This section lists some of the research which has been undertaken in this field in recent decades, and some of the policy solutions adopted in countries around the world.
