EDRM Policies
Good EDRM is an effective tool for promoting sound information governance. Its effectiveness however requires policies that are equally well considered. Policies are needed in areas such as governance over key instruments (e.g. classification scheme), training, and destruction of paper. Effective policies must be:
- Understood and agreed by senior management
- Acceptable to all key stakeholders
- Readily accessible for reference
- Maintainable and maintained
