Model Office

In most EDRM implementations, establishing a pilot office, model office or both is usually an essential step. Our consultants have helped many organisations design, manage and evaluate EDRM pilots and model offices.

Although relatively 'traditional' when used in IT systems, pilots for EDRM require an understanding of dependencies, the realities of implementation, and practical evaluation methodologies.

The creation of a 'model office' - a working configuration using non-live data - is valuable in assisting organisations with finalising the design of an EDRM system. The model office can be used to experiment with aspects such as varying interface approaches, training and users aids. It can be used to assess usability, performance, and changes to working patterns.

The amount of effort invested in a model office varies greatly, according to many factors such as the size of the organisation, criticality of the solution, and complexity of integration.

Serco Consulting helps clients define the scope of either exercise, and then assist in its preparation, operation and evaluation. We contribute our understanding of the business and technical issues, combined with structured analytic techniques to ensure the objectives of the model office are met.
