MoReq2 is an evolutionary development of its predecessor MoReq. MoReq (Model Requirements for the Management of Electronic Records) is a model specification of requirements for Electronic Records Management Systems (ERMS). It was commissioned by the European Commission and was designed to be easily used throughout Europe. To find out more or download MoReq click here.
MoReq2 has the same objectives as MoReq, while adding many features and improvements resulting from several years of of experience. MoReq2 is applicable for:
- Potential ERMS users: as a basis for preparing an invitation to tender
- ERMS users: as a basis for auditing or checking an existing ERMS
- Training organisations: as a reference document for preparing records management training, and as course material
- Academic institutions: as a teaching resource
- ERMS suppliers and developers: to guide product development by highlighting functionality required
- Records management service providers: to guide the nature of the service to be provided
- Potential users of outsourced record management services: as an aid in specifying the services to be procured
Serco Consulting is the centre of expertise on MoReq and MoReq2. We have the architects and developers of both within our EDRM practice which has the greatest concentration of expertise and understanding of them and their use. We frequently use MoReq in consultancy assignments and have an in-depth understanding of its structure and detail and its relationship with other key national and international standards.
