I have been a management consultant since 1979.  Scarily, that is over a quarter of a century, difficult to believe though that is.  In that time, I’ve worked for and with all sorts of consultancies – from the very largest to the very smallest, from the most professional to… well, lets just say to companies with other priorities.  This is the perspective that informs my observations as I joined Serco, as part of the team acquired when Serco acquired Cornwell Management Consultants in 2007.

I found the idea of joining Serco Consulting tremendously exciting and energising.  As a part of the wider Serco group, and as a fast-growing part, Serco Consulting is able to marshal resources and expertise in a way that would be prohibitive for smaller organisations.  I can see the potential for doing good things, on a scale unachievable elsewhere.

So far, so good.  Everything I’ve seen of Serco so far is promising.  The ethic, the commitment, the quality, and – above all – the people, all live up to their promise.  I’m looking forward to being a part of the Serco team that delivers.
