Scheduler

Facility CMIS’s Scheduler function has the ability to arrange a timetable fully automatically or using a manually interactive process or any combination of these to produce an institution-wide timetable. It takes account of individuals’ subject and course options, resource availability, timings and any other constraint experienced by an institution.

The system is event based, allowing users to create events of any duration and any start time, making the definition of slots unnecessary. The timetable can be produced departmentally, or centrally by any number of users and can be based on student choice or curriculum structures or a combination of both. Facility CMIS allows for modular scheduling or class group scheduling. Automatic Room assignment matches room requests to availability and can be used to manage equipment.

There is a configurable interface for timetable views and printouts, personalised for each user. The process allows production of individual student timetables, course, class and module timetables, lecturer timetables and resource timetables.
