BETT 2007
International service provider Serco will once again be taking part in BETT, the world's leading educational information and communications technologies event. The show attracts around 28,000 visitors each year, bringing together the global teaching and learning community for four days of innovations and inspirations.
BETT 2007 is the place to see exciting ideas, the latest technology, practical solutions that can have an immediate impact, and new ways to put ICT at the heart of education. Serco and Facility will be at the forefront of the exhibitors.
The valuable management system Facility helps schools provide learners with the best possible education. Coupled with a powerful virtual learning platform and supported by Serco's effective consultancy, the system is helping schools worldwide to realise their students' full potential. The show takes place from January 10 - 13, 2007 at Olympia in London. You can visit Serco and see Facility for yourself on stand F20.
The comprehensive Facility suite of software opens up new opportunities to maximise learning and enables whole school improvement. Local authorities are recognising Facility's success at individual sites and adopting it to offer the best management solutions to their schools. More and more are moving over to Facility because of its proven track record in supporting educational transformation.
Schools all over the UK are using Facility and ePortal - its web interface, which allows instant, secure access to information for all stakeholders - to create new ways of communication and education that bring out the best in pupils and encourage parents to take an active interest.
- Cardinal Wiseman Technology College [PDF, 192 KB], Birmingham uses Facility ePortal to give parents access to information and earned government praise for its communications successes.
- Eggbuckland Community [PDF, 91 KB] College in Plymouth tightened attendance using effective data collected on Facility.
- Headlands School [PDF, 114 KB] and Community Science College is introducing innovative teaching methods using the Serco Virtual Learning Platform and has encouraged better communication between staff.
