PDA

Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) are wireless extensions of the Facility package that allow teaching and non-teaching staff to be updated with information immediately without generating any paperwork.  Working through Facility ePortal, they ensure that everyone has access to up-to-the-minute data.

The small, hand-held units can be carried to any part of the school that is covered by the wireless network so there is no need for access to a PC in order to enter or view information.

Teachers in remote classrooms or on sports fields all day are no longer isolated from the rest of the school. The PDA can be used to take registration and enter attendance figures directly into the database so they can be managed from a central point.  Any information such as timetable changes, events and notices can be circulated to everyone without the delay and mess of a paper-based system.

Features and Benefits

  • Access to data without a PC
  • Unites remote classrooms with main school through wireless connection
  • Enables registration even on the sports field
  • Easily transported, pocket-sized, hand-held units
