Every part of our service delivery is assessed for it's environmental impact. Our sustainability specialists are able to provide excellent advice on how we can mitigate this impact, whether it is the introduction of bio-fuels and electric vehicles, or the development of energy saving technology at our depots and offices. If there is a way to run our business in a cleaner and greener way . we will do it.
As a FTSE 100 organsiation, we take our role and responsibilities in our local communities extremely seriously. Apart from exceeding our corporate responsibility objectives in sustainability, health & safety and staff engagement, Serco also take great pride in engaging with our communities. Nowhere is this more evident than the introduction in 2009, of the Serco Scouts Environment badge. This partnership has enabled us to partner with the Scouts Association in the education of youth throughout every community within the UK. This initiative has focused upon encouraging them to take pride in their local communities, as well as learn more about protecting the world they live in.
