Intelligence: Mycroft
Serco have developed a confidential infrastructure and intelligence application for the UK Home Office's Immigration and Nationality Directorate, named Mycroft.
The system provides intelligence analysis and secure communications between more than 60 sites around the UK. It is backed up by 24-hour operational support.
The £40 million, five-year contract was signed in 2004 and saw systems go live within ten months. The original order for 39 sites has already expanded to 69.
The procurement and delivery of Mycroft was recognised by the project's shortlisting for a Delivery Award to the IND from the Office of Government Commerce.
