This Centre, outside Bedford in the east of England, holds up to 405 individuals - a mixture of single women and adult family members.

We are committed to caring for the residents at Yarl's Wood with decency and respect, providing the dedicated facilities which include a fully equipped gymnasium, cultural kitchen, hair salon, IT and Internet Suite as well as a dedicated faith area so that residents can worship

Serco took over the running of Yarl's Wood in April 2007 from GSL. We are committed to developing the Centre into a recognised Centre of excellence for detaining women and families without children in a safe and secure environment.
