Kilmarnock Religion

Our chaplaincy consists of four groups: 

  • Church of Scotland
  • Roman Catholic
  • Episcopalian
  • Free Church    

The pastoral team work closely together and compliment one another in conducting worship, providing pastoral care, counselling, group work, weddings and funerals.

Other religious denominations are provided for and appropriate religious leaders visit the prison to provide support as and when required.

Our programme is as follows:

  • Monday - Remand bible class 
  • Tuesday - Groupwork (Alpha, Overcomers). These are programmes which the chaplaincy team deliver.
  • Wednesday - Bibleclass for mainstream church service
  • Thursday - Roman Catholic mass
  • Friday - Destiny College, which is another programme delivered by the chaplaincy team. 
  • Saturday - Monthly breakfast
