Electronic Monitoring in Scotland

Serco provides electronic monitoring across the whole of Scotland, under a contract with the Scottish Executive which started in April 2006. 

Types of order

Restriction of liberty order – usually ‘to a place’ to impose an overnight curfew

Electronic monitoring as a condition of probation 

Movement Restriction Condition for under 16s as part of Children’s Hearing System

Monitoring as a condition of parole

Movement Restriction as a Condition of Bail

Home Detention Curfew for prisoners
