Court Escort and Custody Services
Serco Court Escort & Custody Services escorts prisoners to and from 22 Crown Courts and 69 Magistrates Courts in London and the South East, to attend hearings and trials. We also provide custody services in the cells and docks of the Courts we serve, ensuring prisoners are in court at the right time and are cared for securely and with dignity.
In addition, prisoners are also escorted to and from 160 Police Stations and 26 Prisons in these regions. With a fleet of over 200 cellular vehicles, our 1,400 staff have undertaken more that 2 million prisoner movements since we started in 2004, driving in excess of 5 million miles a year. Upon joining Court Escort & Custody Services, all our PCO's follow a rigorous 5 week Initial Training Course, whereby they must pass each level to obtain graduation.
