Local Government

With the Local Area Agreement sitting as a key framework for local government to deliver the strategic leadership and place shaping of communities, there is a role for partnership working with public, voluntary and private sector partners. Only then can public services be truly joined up and focused on the needs of the citizen. 

While there are considerable challenges in making this partnership working a reality, Serco is uniquely placed to work with ambitious local authorities who can leverage our skills, knowledge and experience to service their citizens better.  

Whether running a Local Education Authority, identifying best means of sharing sensitive data on children, offering health care services, piloting telecare projects to enable independent living, integrating offenders into society and preventing re-offending, managing Business Link services and helping small businesses to grow, or scoping new projects to improve the local environment - Serco is working with and across the whole local community to make citizens' lives better.
