Operational Support

Serco designs and delivers operational support to improve the availability of people and equipment worldwide

Our Partnership Approach

Serco has developed an innovative model for delivering employment services to long-term unemployed people across the UK. Our approach is to subcontract all frontline delivery to a network of the very best local and national welfare-to-work providers, integrating them effectively with smaller, community-based organisations.

For both the Work Programme, and Job Deal, Serco has partnered with a network of leading welfare-to-work organisations, almost half of which are from the voluntary sector, to enable jobseekers to benefit from a rich mix of expertise and experience. This includes organisations such as: Pertemps; SOVA; Northern Refugee Centre; WISE Ability Ltd; Best Ltd; and Armstrong Learning.

Serco uses its supply chain management expertise to support and challenge its provider network to develop and build the best support for jobseekers and offenders. This includes providing a robust contract management and quality assurance regime, financial management, technology infrastructure, implementation and logistics expertise and capacity-building support.

If you are interested in working in partnership with Serco, either as a potential subcontractor or as a strategic partner, please email W2W@serco.com

Partner Testimonials

"How does the relationship work with Serco? As a prime contractor, Serco maintains an independent view. They provide the appropriate support without the distraction of operational delivery, and that makes all the difference."
James Gore, i2i, FND Phase 1 Subcontractor, Greater Manchester
