Welfare to Work

increasing the long-term life chances of unemployed people

Who we want to work with

If your organisation is interested in becoming part of our Flexible New Deal Phase 2 delivery network, then please contact a local Partnership Manager.

Serco is looking to partner with organisations who can fulfil the following roles on our Flexible New Deal Phase 2 delivery:

  • Core Subcontractors

    We are looking for exceptional Subcontractors to deliver the core elements of Serco's 3-Step FND programme:

    Step 1: Professional Job Brokerage service;
    Step 2: Intensive Activity, including work-related activity such as work placements and work trials;
    Step 3: Intensive Jobsearch for jobseekers with complex needs.

    Where there is a reasonable concentration of jobseekers, we are likely to have multiple providers delivering at each Step. In our preferred delivery model, no single organisation will deliver adjacent programme Steps. We would like to work with organisations with: a proven track record of delivering similar provision to this customer group; evidence of quality delivery and performance against contractual targets; and an established infrastructure across one or more of the FND Phase 2 regions.

  • Specialist Support Providers

    We are also looking to partner with high quality organisations that can provide a variety of specialist wrap-around services for our FND customers. This might include services such as debt advice, substance misuse support, vocational training or support for people with disabilities.

    Specialist Support Providers will take one or more of the following roles in Serco's FND network:

    1. Commercial - providing support or training that Serco's subcontractors can buy into on an ad-hoc basis to support their FND customers;
    2. Referral - providing a service to residents in the local areas and want to be included in our directory of services to create a smooth referral process for FND customers;
    3. Engagement - delivering a service to potential FND customers and can help them to engage on FND;
    4. Influence - experienced in working with/representing a particular customer group and can advise Serco's delivery network on how to best support customers.
  • Strategic Partners

    Serco is committed to developing a delivery model that provides genuinely local responses to the impact of worklessness on each individual and their community. As such, we are looking to work closely with local strategic partners- for example Local Authorities, City Strategy Pathfinders, Regional Development Agencies, Chambers of Commerce - to ensure that our FND model is fully aligned with the aims of regional and local employment and regeneration strategies.
