Leading international service company, Serco Solutions was chosen in December as the lead IT partner to advise on business change, following MGN Networks' right to acquire the Wales and West Network from National Grid Transco (NGT) for £1.3 billion. Serco has successfully designed and implemented a 1400 user SAP back office system and also provided a managed HR and payroll service. The system went live in June following the launch of the company, Wales and West Utilities.
The project has involved a complete overhaul of IT systems and the design of a new IT infrastructure for the company. The project extends to provide a second phase that will deliver front office customer relationship management (CRM) and asset management systems.
