Contract Extension at UK AWE

Serco Group plc ("Serco") notes the announcement made by the UK Ministry of Defence ("MoD") regarding the MoD's plans for upgrading of facilities at the Atomic Weapons Establishment, operated by a joint venture consisting of Serco, British Nuclear Fuels Limited and Lockheed Martin.
The organic growth from this contract escalates over three years and is valued to Serco at some £350m in total. Serco will confirm completion in a further announcement.
As the MoD has announced, the programme is necessary to upgrade skills and facilities at the Atomic Weapons Establishment sites at Aldermaston and Burghfield to provide continued reliability and safety assurance.
