£15m Magnox Technical Support Contract

A Serco Assurance-led consortium has been awarded a £15m contract to provide specialist technical and engineering support to the Magnox reactor sites over the next five years.
The services will be provided by experienced engineers and technical experts drawn from a consortium of technical companies led by Serco Assurance and including ASTEC Services, Frazer-Nash Consultancy and Jacobs.
Under this framework contract, a range of specialist nuclear technical services will be provided, including safety case management, systems engineering, analysis of safety-critical structures and systems and specialist outage support including technical advice on waste management.

Serco Assurance will act as the lead organisation, building on a large group of engineers and technical specialists who were successfully transferred from Magnox to Serco Assurance in 2005.
