Serco Wins Goose Bay Re-bid

Serco Group plc (“Serco”) has been selected by the Canadian Department of National Defence (“DND”) to provide site support services at Canadian Forces Base, Goose Bay, Labrador for a second term. This 11-year contract is worth approximately C$40 million annually and is the cornerstone of Serco’s Canadian operations. The new contract will immediately follow on from the current 5-year contract and will commence on Ist April, 2003.Under the terms of the new, expanded contract Serco will provide all base operation services required by DND at the Goose Bay flight training base, catering to the air forces from the UK, Germany, Italy and The Netherlands. In addition to the existing services provided at the base, the contract has been expanded in scope to cover the transfer of the DND’s current vehicle fleet to Serco including snow clearing vehicles and other emergency equipment.
