Serco Welcomes Tribunal Decision over Dismissal of BNP Member

Serco welcomes the decision by Leeds, Employment Tribunal to uphold the lawfulness of the company's decision to dismiss Cllr Arthur Redfearn, once his association with the BNP became known.
John Whitefoot, Head of Employment Relations, Serco Group plc said: "We welcome today's decision. It was important for Serco to bring this action because we reasonably believed that the presence of an active member of the BNP in a sensitive post posed an unacceptable risk to health and safety."
