Serco Group plc (Serco) today announces the retirement of Dr DeAnne Julius on 29 October as a Non Executive Director and from her post as Senior Independent Director.  

Margaret, Baroness Ford of Cunninghame, who has served as a Non Executive Director on the Board since 2003 is appointed the new Senior Independent Director with effect from 29 October 2007.

Kevin Beeston, Chairman of Serco commented: “DeAnne has played a key role in the development of the Group during the six years she has been on the Board, and I would like to thank her for her services and wish her well for the future.  I am also pleased to confirm that Margaret Ford will be taking over the role of Senior Independent Director.”
