Serco welcomes Julius Review

Serco Group chief executive Christopher Hyman today welcomed the publication of the Julius Review - the UK government's first ever assessment of the significant scale, impact and potential of the emerging Public Services Industry.
Serco is a leading international service company employing more than 50,000 people and with operations in 35 countries. More than 90% of the group's revenues come from the public sector.

The Review of the Public Service Industry - Understanding the public service industry: how big, how good, where next? reveals that the PSI industry employs more than 1.2 million people, has revenues of £79bn and generates £45bn of value per year. In terms of value added the PSI is significantly larger than 'Food, beverages and tobacco', 'Communication', 'Electricity, gas and water supply' and 'Hotels and restaurants'.
