Serco appoints Nick Brown Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Transport Division

Serco is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Brown as Chief Executive Officer, Serco Integrated Transport. Andrew Smith, who previously held this position, has been appointed Group Global Transport Director. Serco’s international transport strategy has particular emphasis on North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Andrew Smith will be responsible for developing the transport strategy in and across these markets where Serco believe there are significant opportunities.
Nick Brown moves from Managing Director Rail of Serco’s Integrated Transport Division. Previously he was a Director for National Express Group’s Trains Division and has held leadership roles with ScotRail, Central Trains, Midland Mainline and National Express Group’s Bus Division.
Commenting on the appointment Grant Rumbles, Serco’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “I am delighted that Nick has accepted this important role. We are confident he will build on the considerable success that has already been achieved by the Transport business.” Nick Brown said: “Serco has exciting growth plans for the future and Transport is a key part of this and I am delighted to be taking over the leadership of a successful team.”

In the UK Serco also operates the National Traffic Control Centre, Docklands Light Railway, in Denmark Copenhagen’s Metroservice and in Australia the world-renowned Great Southern Railways.
