At Serco we pride ourselves on being values driven people, to such an extent that our Governing Principles have become one of our most significant and important differentiators. We must therefore take every opportunity to celebrate when our people, our customers and our partners go that extra mile and exceed expectations.

In 2007 we launched the Pulse Awards.  These awards have been designed to celebrate the vibrant heart of Serco.  They identify and recognise how our people, our customers and our partners maintain that momentum, that pulse that drives us forward everyday.

Aligned to our Governing Principles the awards recognise examples of excellence in business operations or improvement, environmental and safety initiatives and leadership.  They also recognise our wider responsibilities to society, the environment and the communities we serve.  This might be through significant contributions made to charitable or community organisations.

The Pulse Awards enable us to be proud and passionate about all that we have achieved together and importantly take the time to celebrate.

In 2010 we were delighted to receive over 1100 nominations from colleagues around the world giving our divisions an opportunity to recognise the excellent achievements of 228 individuals and teams.

Forty-one of these winners were then subsequently recognised across globally across our business for their truly outstanding achievements at a celebratory event held on the 6 June 2011 in London.  You can read their stories in the winners' section of this website.
