History
The core of our business grew out of the defence and civil nuclear industries, with a heritage dating back to the 1950s and the UK's Atomic Energy Authority. Public sector reforms from the 1990s onwards led to the privatisation of many publicly owned bodies, ushering in the next phase in our evolution when we became part of Serco in 2001.
Since then we have consolidated and grown our core business, expanded into new markets and now have ambitious plans for the future. These ambitious growth targets mean that we are continually seeking out opportunities to add to our pool of talented staff either by organic growth or through acquisition. Over 100 highly qualified staff have transferred into the business from the nuclear and rail industries in recent years.
In 2007 we made a huge step change by integrating our business with over 150 defence systems experts in Serco's Technical Services business
We are now a leading provider of independent safety, risk management, engineering services and systems engineering across the defence, nuclear, transport and security industries in the UK and overseas.
