Business Continuity Management

Successful Business Continuity Management ensures that the organisation continues to perform effectively in response to major disruptions. It is common to confuse business continuity with crisis and emergency planning (CEP) and/or IT Disaster Recovery. However, Business Continuity Management has much wider implications than these, which are just some of the component parts of the BCM strategy.

Our approach is to consider the current position of the organisation from a Business Continuity viewpoint. Building on existing good practices we will develop in partnership with the customer a suitable Business Continuity Management system based on the relevant parts of the BCI Good Practice Guidelines. Utilising our extensive risk management experience we will identify and prioritise critical events and dependencies of such events to develop plans that can successfully deal with such occurrences. The key step is to establish an operational envelope that enables the organisation to recover with the minimum of disruption.
