Crisis and Emergency Planning

Our risk team has considerable practical experience in the field of integrated emergency response management and planning within safety critical and high hazards industries. Its experience includes work at a national level, drawing up national emergency response plans. At a lower level it has extensive experience in preparing contingency and continuity plans across a wide range of industries.

If an organisation is able to identify and respond to any developing situation at an early stage, before the situation reaches crisis or a disaster level, it will survive. More importantly, the effects of the incident will be contained and any losses will be minimised.

Our approach is to gain a complete understanding of a site and its operation, including a complete review of the site's physical operation and its physical assets, together with the procedures and systems already in place. This review also includes anything that may impact on the safe operation of the site. The approach includes the identification of business dependencies and resilience. It also includes establishing plans and systems for dealing effectively with the loss of function or availability, including measures for avoidance.

Fundamental to the approach are Risk Assessment, Hazard Indentification and Risk Management. We utilise best practice business continuity processes and integrates them with its own tried and tested risk management techniques. This approach ensures that all response capabilities and plans are flexible and robust enough to be applied in any situation.
