Serco Usability Services’ partners open first foreign-led usability consultancy in Beijing, China.

Two of the founding partners of the UXalliance, User Centric, Inc. (US) and SirValUse GmbH (Germany) announced the opening this month of ‘User Experience LLC’ - a user research consultancy in China. The joint venture, which represents the first foreign-led usability consultancy in Beijing, is geared towards serving the Chinese market and expanding the capabilities of the UXalliance.
Companies wishing to introduce products to Chinese consumers face the challenge of developing for the global market, while at the same time creating designs that comply with local conventions and expectations. As the latest member of the UXalliance, User Experience is at the forefront of user research to meet the exploding demand for usability in China. Ms. Yiner Ya, a graduate of the University of Chicago, will head the Beijing branch, serving as Research Director. User Experience also has an impressive “Board of Advisers” made up of leaders in the field of human factors from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tsinghua University.
