Nigel Bevan, Principal Consultant at Serco Usability Services, has been re-elected to Director of Professional Development for the UPA. As part of his role Nigel is leading an initiative to develop a usability body of knowledge. The objective is to provide a solid foundation for the professional, and the basis for any future work on a curriculum or certification. The initial focus is on producing authorative descriptions of usability methods, and this will subsequently expand to include wider infromation on organistational issues and design topics. A presentation on the work will be given at the UPA 2005 conference in Montreal in June.
