Our world 2017

We have conducted a range of local and central environmental initiatives across our businesses. Examples include:

  • The Serco-operated Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board Operations Center partnered with the Virginia Department of Transportation to join the Adopt-a-Highway programme and adopt a section of the Fair Lakes Parkway. The team held their first trash pickup in August.
  • Serco Facilities Management renovated offices and organised the re-use of furniture across contracts, resulting in approximate savings of $170,000 and helping to avoid disposal-related environmental impacts.
