As a Serco employee, you will have access to a wide range of learning opportunities online, in the classroom and on the job. Our programs are designed to support continuous learning at Serco across all levels of the business to ensure your success now, and into the future.

Our Emerge development program enables employees who aspire to be leaders to get a broader understanding of our diverse business and access mentoring and networking opportunities. We also offer educational assistance to support our people to develop job related knowledge, skills and expertise.

When strategy, leadership, culture and values align the result is magic. Leaders play a vital role in creating the right environment to succeed, coaching team members to bring out their best, and making this a place people where are proud to work. We invest in our leaders through our Management Foundations, Leadership Horizons and Leadership Advantage programs.

“During my time at Serco I have been given the opportunity to develop my career from a ‘leader of others’ into the ‘leader of leaders’ realm. Serco has provided me with personal development training through the Emerge and Horizons programs, and they also assist with my university fees. The personal development training has allowed me to increase my managerial confidence by identifying technique frameworks for use in the workplace.”

“I have been fortunate to be accepted on the Leadership Horizons course, and now the Oxford Management Program. Leadership Horizons allowed me to see where I could improve as a Leader to support not only my department but integration of other department personnel. My take away from the course was that leadership is all about communication, and understanding that we’re a community of people. I have since introduced the Asset Management Business Newsletter to support a feeling of community and belonging to something that as whole is something to be proud of.”

“I chose Serco because I saw it as an opportunity to develop my technical and theoretical engineering skills in the field. Serco piqued my interest as it delved in within the marine engineering sphere and Defence. Serco is a great workplace for those looking for a different challenge every day!”
