Serco proudly supports Darcina’s journey to Rio

As Rio prepares for the 2016 Olympic Games opening ceremony today, I would like to take the opportunity to recognise the tremendous achievement of our team member Darcina Manuel, who will be representing New Zealand in the women’s Judo under 57kg division.

A New Zealand citizen, Darcina is part of our Court Security and Custodial Services team in Western Australia. She has trained intensively in her campaign for Rio, competing in championships in South America, Abu Dhabi, China and Kazakhstan. She was officially selected for Rio 2016 on 17 June.

The team at Serco take incredible pride in her accomplishments, and we will be cheering her on in Rio. Darcina will compete against Russia on Monday and we wish her the very best as she chases her Olympic dream.
