Serco completes Pacific 24 RHIBs maintenance work

As a leading provider of maritime services globally, Serco is thrilled to have been selected by Babcock Australasia (Babcock) to provide scheduled maintenance and repair for the Royal Navy’s (RN) Pacific 24 Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs).
Serco’s Cairns Port team oversaw a comprehensive maintenance program for the Pacific 24 RHIBs, ensuring operational capability is maintained for these vessels through the provision of planned and preventative maintenance services.
Serco Defence Managing Director Clint Thomas AM, CSC, said the contract reflects Serco’s capabilities and expertise in maritime maintenance and operations available across Australia.
"This contract award is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our team in Cairns, who are committed to providing high-quality maintenance services to enhance the Navy’s capability, readiness and performance," said Mr Thomas.

The two Pacific 24 RHIBs reside on the HMS Tamar, which is currently on deployment from the United Kingdom.
