Local community sponsorships
Corporate responsibility is vital to Serco. It encompasses some of the most important aspects of our long-term sustainability: health and safety, the environment, our people and our communities. Over the past 20 years, Serco Asia Pacific has been committed to supporting the communities in which we operate and continue to make a positive impact across Australia.
Serco will be supporting the local Clarence Valley community in two ways.
NorthernPathways Community Support Program – Giving Back to the Clarence Valley Community
NorthernPathways, via the John Laing Charitable Trust (JLCT), and in association with Serco and John Holland, are working with Clarence Valley welfare organisations by providing financial and in-kind assistance for projects and programs to specifically address: Education, youth and the disadvantaged, homelessness and community regeneration.
Following an Expressions of Interest call earlier this year, a raft of submissions from local organisations were received. These submissions were evaluated and six of the submissions have been approved for funding or “in-kind” support from NorthernPathways, including Serco.

Short-term Annual Sponsorships
Serco will be working directly with the Clarence Valley community, providing funding for and involvement in local initiatives. We will be offering a number of short-term sponsorships for initiatives or programs run by community groups, non-government organisations or other organisations based in the Clarence Valley local areas.
