ASCF was officially opened in May 2015, and is a world class facility for up to 960 sentenced male prisoners. Our first priority is the safety and security of the community. Key focus areas for our facility include reducing re-offending and providing better outcomes for Maori. Working with staff from many cultures, whanau, hapu and iwi, Maori service providers and other community groups, Serco has introduced programmes and services designed to address Maori specific needs and reconnect Maori prisoners to their cultural heritage.
