Voluntary Tax Transparency Report

Serco is committed to working transparently and in accordance with the laws and financial reporting requirements of the countries in which we operate. Our aim is always to go further, to strengthen the communities where we are based and to positively impact the people we support. 

We recognise our responsibilities to contribute to Australia by paying our fair share of tax and support the improved tax transparency and public accountability of large corporate taxpayers in Australia. As part of this commitment, we are proud to present our Tax Transparency Report for the year ended 31 December 2022, which has been prepared in accordance with the Australian Voluntary Tax Transparency Code.

Our total tax contribution for the year ended 31 December 2022 was $424 million, which includes taxes paid of $87 million and taxes collected and remitted to the Australian Revenue Authorities of $337 million. Our 2022 Australian effective tax rate was 30%.
