One Team, One Direction: Celebrating an award-winning supply chain service partnership at United Arab Emirates University
Our world 2019
Through Khadamat Facilities Management, our joint venture with Mubadala in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), we provide integrated facilities management services to the UAE University (UAEU) New Campus in Al Ain, comprising approximately 18,000 students and 2,000 faculty members and office staff in 58 buildings.
Our strategic partner for cleaning operations at UAEU is Berkeley Services Group (BSG) – a partnership now in its seventh year. At the Annual Middle East Cleaning and Hygiene and Facilities Awards in April 2019, together with BSG we were one of two winners in the ‘Best Client-Contractor Relationship Award’ category. The awards celebrate success and excellence in the commercial and institutional cleaning, hygiene and soft facilities management industries in the region. Our nomination for the award showcased the positive impacts of strong collaboration as part of our ‘One Team, One Direction’ initiative.
A team of 300 BSG cleaning operatives form a valued part of our overall UAEU workforce and community. We work closely with BSG to ensure a consistently high standard of service is delivered to our customer, not just in terms of strong operational performance, but also with regard to our broader corporate responsibility commitments, including: Health, Safety and Environmental performance; employee engagement, training and development; innovation; operational efficiency; and contributing to our communities.

The Khadamat-BSG partnership won further recognition in 2019 as a winner at the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) Awards in September, for ‘Excellence in Training & Assessment’.
