Serco boasts an extensive network of Space professionals located at our various offices across Europe, all within close proximity of our largest space sector customers, namely the European Space Agency (ESA), European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) and the National Centre for Space Studies (CNES).

European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC)

Noordwijk, the Netherlands
ESTEC is the technical heart of ESA, and most space projects are born and managed here.
Examples of projects include science missions, human spaceflight,  telecom, satellite navigation, and Earth observation.

European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT)

Harwell, Oxford, UK
ECSAT in the UK is supporting activities related to telecommunications, integrated applications, climate change, technology and science.

European Space Research Institute (ESRIN)

Frascati, Italy 
ESRIN is the European centre of excellence for the acquisition, distribution, and exploitation of data from Earth observation missions. The mission and payload operations of ESA's Earth observation satellites are also managed here.

European Space Operations Centre (ESOC)

Darmstadt, Germany
ESOC is where ESA's mission control takes place. Engineering teams at ESOC control spacecraft in orbit, manage our global tracking station network, and design and build the systems on the ground that support missions in space. 

The National Centre for Space Studies (CNES)

Kourou, French Guiana
CNES is the French government space agency. CNES is responsible for shaping and implementing France’s space policy and has been involved in the development of electric propulsion sub-systems.

European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT)

Darmstadt, Germany
EUMETSAT is the European operational satellite agency for monitoring weather, climate and the environment from space.

The European Astronaut Centre (EAC)

Cologne, Germany
The European Astronaut Centre (EAC) is the European centre of excellence for astronaut selection, training, and support. The team at EAC equip European and international astronauts with the skills and knowledge they need to fly to the ISS.

European Space Agency Headquarters (ESA-HQ)

Paris, France
The ESA-HQ serves as the central hub for ESA's activities and operations. Those activities include programme management, mission design and planning, technology development, international collaboration, and science communication and outreach.

European Space Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA)

Prague, Czech Republic
EUSPA is a European Union (EU) Agency responsible for the management of the European Union’s space programmes, such as Galileo and EGNOS. EUSPA’s main role is to manage and operate these systems and develop new space-based services and applications that can benefit the EU and its citizens.

European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC)

Marid, Spain
ESAC is the ESA's centre for space science. It hosts the science operation centres for all ESA astronomy and planetary missions together with their scientific archives.
